Andrea Earle Named NorPac Offensive Player of the Week

Sep 16, 2014

BERKELEY – California senior Andrea Earle has been named the NorPac Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Bears to a pair of road victories, the conference announced Monday.

Earle played possibly the biggest role in leading Cal to road victories at UMass and Yale. The senior scored the game-winning goal in both matches to help the Bears improve their winning streak to three straight – the longest winning streak at Cal since the 2011 season.

In both games, Earle scored less than four minutes after the opponent initially tied the game. At UMass, the Minutewomen tied it in the 44th minute before Earle hit the game-winner in the 48th. At Yale, the Bulldogs tied it in the 34th minute before Earle hit the game-winner on an unassisted goal in the 38th minute.

On the weekend, she attempted three shots and scored two goals, a .667 shot percentage. Her two game-winning goals leads the team.

The Bears remain in Northern California this weekend with games at UC Davis and Stanford on tap.
