Sep 22, 2014

SAN FRANCISCO - The Pac-12 Conference announced CALIFORNIA’s Connor Hallisey has been named the Pac-12 Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for games from Sept. 15-21. He earns the honor for the second-consecutive week.

Hallisey (Granite Bay, Calif.) continued his fast start to 2014 by scoring three goals last week. Two of Hallisey’s goals came in California’s 4-2 win over No. 11 Delaware on Friday and his third tally proved to be the game winner on Sunday in the team’s 2-1 victory over SIU Edwardsville. The senior posted six points on the weekend and continues to lead the Pac-12 in that category with 17 in just six appearances (six goals and five assists). Cal has now won five straight matches, and are a perfect 4-0-0 at home.

The honor is Hallisey’s second this year and the Golden Bears’ 30th overall player of the week selection.

The Golden Bears are on the road this week and will face Santa Clara on Friday, Sept. 26 at 7:00 p.m. PT. For more information and to view the 2014 television schedule, visit www.pac-12.com.
