California's Hallisey voted men's soccer player of the week
SAN FRANCISCO - The Pac-12 Conference announced CALIFORNIA’s Connor Hallisey has been named the Pac-12 Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for games from Sept. 15-21. He earns the honor for the second-consecutive week.
Hallisey (Granite Bay, Calif.) continued his fast start to 2014 by scoring three goals last week. Two of Hallisey’s goals came in California’s 4-2 win over No. 11 Delaware on Friday and his third tally proved to be the game winner on Sunday in the team’s 2-1 victory over SIU Edwardsville. Cal has now won five straight matches, and are a perfect 4-0-0 at home.
The honor is Hallisey’s second this year and the Golden Bears’ 30th overall player of the week selection.
