Pac-12 Defenses Shine in Non-Conference Action: In four non-league games last weekend, Pac-12 teams gave up 7, 10, 12 and 14 points in wins over San Diego State, Michigan, Hawai’i and Georgia State. In fact, Oregon State, Utah, Colorado and Washington combined to give up a total of just six points in second half play. In 33 non-conference games, Pac-12 teams have given up 14 or fewer points 10 times. In non-conference play, the Pac-12 is averaging 39.6 points per game, while allowing just 21.7 points per game...The Pac-12 sports a 25-1 record in non-conference play on Saturday...Pac-12 opponents have a record of 40-25 (61.5 percent) in games against non-Pac-12 teams.
The Undefeated: 25 FBS teams remain undefeated this season, with seven of those coming from the Pac-12. No other conference has more.
Anu Solomon Cracks FBS Record Book: With his effort Saturday night in the 49-45 win over California, ARIZONA QB Anu Solomon established or tied several FBS freshman passing records. Solomon set FBS records for most plays (89) and most passes attempted (73), while matching the mark for most passes completed (47). In addition, Solomon set the Pac-12 record for total offense (566 yards) and the league’s freshman mark for passing yards (520 yards).
