Women’s Basketball Pac-12 Schedule, TV Selections Announced


PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State women’s basketball will have 16 games televised during the 2014-15 campaign, the Pac-12 Networks announced Monday along with the Pac-12 Conference schedule.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase Washington State on the Pac-12 Networks this season,” Washington State Women’s Basketball Head Coach June Daugherty stated. “The 16 national television appearances and our season-opening four-game homestand are great news for Cougar fans. This is a season you don’t want to miss!”

The Cougars, coming off a WNIT appearance and 11 televised regular season games last season, will have 15 of its 18 conference games televised by the Pac-12 Networks this season beginning with the Nov. 19 home matchup against the University of Nebraska. Washington State welcomes in the Cornhuskers for an 8 p.m. tipoff in a rematch of last season’s nail-biter in Lincoln that saw the Cougars post a 76-72 upset of 10th-ranked Nebraska.

WSU opens Pac-12 play the first weekend of 2015,  heading to Arizona to face the University of Arizona Saturday, Jan. 3 at 11 a.m. and Arizona State University, Monday, Jan. 5 at 7 p.m.. Both games will be on the Pac-12 Networks.

The following week, the Cougars welcome the University of California into Beasley Coliseum for the Pac-12 home opener set for Jan. 9 at 5 p.m. WSU will match up against NCAA Final Four participant Stanford University at 1 p.m., Jan. 11. Both games will be televised by the Pac-12 Networks

In mid-January, Washington State will travel to face the Oregon schools, Oregon State University and the University of Oregon Jan. 16 and Jan. 18, respectively, both on the Pac-12 Networks. The Cougars return home the following week to host the University of Utah Jan. 23 and the University of Colorado Jan. 25. The game against the Buffaloes will tipoff at 1 p.m. on the Pac-12 Networks.

WSU will close out the month of January on the road against Stanford, Jan. 31 and then open February with a contest against California, Feb. 2 at 5 p.m. Both contests will be on the Pac-12 Networks. Last season, the Bears held off the Cougars in overtime in Berkeley before WSU knocked off second-seeded Cal in the Pac-12 Conference Tournament quarterfinals in Seattle.

Washington State returns to Pullman for home matchups with Oregon, Feb. 6 and Oregon State Feb. 8, both on the Pac-12 Networks. A week later, the Cougars head to the mountain schools to face Colorado Feb. 13 and Utah Feb. 15 with the meeting against the Utes on the Pac-12 Networks.

A pair of matchups with the University of Washington doesn’t come until the latter part of the season as the Cougars head to Seattle for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff on the Pac-12 Networks Friday, Feb. 20. Two days later WSU will host the Huskies Sunday, Feb. 22 at 1 p.m. on the Pac-12 Networks.

Washington State will close out the regular season hosting UCLA Thursday, Feb. 26 and defending Pac-12 Conference Tournament champion USC, Saturday, Feb. 28 for senior day at 3 p.m. on the Pac-12 Networks.

The Pac-12 Conference Tournament is set for March 5-8 at KeyArena in Seattle.
