Men’s Basketball To Hold Walk-On Tryouts

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State men’s basketball team will hold a tryout for Oregon State students interested in walking-on for the 2014-15 season, head coach Wayne Tinkle announced Thursday.

The tryout will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4 on the second level of the OSU Basketball Center, which is located directly behind Gill Coliseum and just north of the Sports Performance Center off Ralph Miller Drive.

All walk-on prospects are required to have two-plus years of varsity basketball high school experience and be a full-time student at Oregon State University. All costs incurred for the tryout are the responsibility of the prospect.

Students interested in trying out must stop by the Oregon State Athletic Department Compliance Office at Gill Coliseum to fill out the necessary paperwork. Physicals must be completed by Tuesday, Sept. 30 and paperwork must be submitted to the Compliance Office by Thursday, Oct. 2 to tryout. There will be no exceptions to the deadlines.
