Stanford, Calif.—The Arizona State women’s golf team returns to action this weekend at the Stanford Intercollegiate, hosted by Condoleezza Rice.  The event will span three days, Oct. 17-19, and features 54 holes of stroke play at the par-71, 6,130-yard Stanford Golf Course.

The 17-team field includes No. 1 Washington, No. 4 Stanford, No. 5 Northwestern, No. 6 Southern California, No. 10 UCLA, No. 12 Pepperdine, No. 23 UC Davis, Arizona State, California, Clemson, Georgia, Harvard, Iowa State, Kentucky, Oregon, Oregon State, and San Jose State.

The Sun Devil lineup will feature senior Noemi Jimenez, sophomore Monica Vaughn, freshman Roberta Liti, sophomore Saki Iida, and senior Emilie Alonso.

Last time out, Jimenez tied for fifth at the inaugural ANNIKA Intercollegiate on the par-72, 6,247-yard Watson Course at Reunion Resort in Orlando, Fla.  Her 4-under 212 earned the Sun Devil her first top-five finish of the 2014-15 season.

Vaughn also finished in the top 25 at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate, carding a tournament total of 3-over 219.  This weekend, Vaughn will be carrying a PT42 camouflage golf bag in honor of former Sun Devil Pat Tillman.

Golfing in the No. 3 spot is Liti, who recorded a top-50 finish last month in her first tournament as a Sun Devil.  Iida enters the lineup for the first time this season.  As a freshman last year, Iida competed in three tournaments and recorded a season- and career-low 72 in the final round of the PING/ASU Invitational.

Rounding out the Arizona State lineup is Alonso, who finished in 58th place at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate with a 17-over 233.

Teams will tee off Friday, Oct. 17, at 8:30 a.m. PT at the Stanford Golf Course.  Saturday and Sunday action will begin at 8:30 a.m. PT and 7:30 a.m. PT, respectively.
