Women’s Golf Remains in First Place at Stanford

The eighth-ranked UCLA women’s golf team remained in first place after the second round of the Stanford Intercollegiate Saturday at the Stanford Golf Course.

The Bruins posted a team score of three-under par 281 and led Stanford by two shots. UCLA had a 36-hole score of 560 (-8), followed by Stanford’s total of 562 (-2). USC was third at 563 (-5) following a second round score of 279 (-5). Top-ranked Washington made its move Saturday, firing a score of six-under 278 for a 36-hole total of 566 (-2) that was good enough for fourth place. Northwestern was fifth at 570 (+2).

Individually for the Bruins, sophomore Bronte Law remained in first place at six-under par 136 following an even par round of 71. Alison Lee and Erynne Lee moved into a tie for eighth place at two-under par 140. Erynne Lee fired a three-under 68, and Alison Lee posted a two-under par score of 69. Freshman Erin Choi posted a one-over par 73 and was tied for 32nd place at 144 (+2). Freshman Lydia Choi had the drop score of 75 (+4) and was tied for 57th at 150 (+8).

Junior Louise Ridderstrom, playing as an individual, fired a career-best round of 66 (-5) and was one shot back of Law in second place at 137 (-5). Ridderstrom carded six birdies and a bogey on Saturday.
