Can’t Touch This: Two FBS quarterbacks have attempted at least 100 passes this season without an interception and both hail from the Pac-12 - OREGON’s Marcus Mariota (188 attempts) and UTAH’s Travis Wilson (111 attempts).
The Record Book: Junior QB Cody Kessler tied a 33-year old Pac-12 regulation single-game record with seven TD passes in USC’s win over Colorado. He now shares the mark with Arizona State’s Mike Pagel who three seven scoring strikes against Stanford in 1981... OREGON STATE senior QB Sean Mannion is closing in on Matt Barkley’s Pac-12 career passing totals. With 12,012 passing yards, Mannion needs 316 yards to eclipse Barkley’s 12,327 yards he accumulated from 2009-12.
Run, Forrest, Run: Pac-12 running backs have been carrying the load of late. USC’s Javorius Allen is averaging a Pac-12 leading 129.9 yards per game, 11th in the FBS. He’s rushed for 100 or more yards in six games this season, including a 200-yard effort, and in 10 of the last 13 games dating back to last year. He also ranks fifth nationally in all-purpose yards with a Pac-12-best 171.3 yards per game. Aleen is the only player in the nation with a least 900 rushing yards and 250 receiving yards... UTAH’s Devontae Booker is second in the league in rushing with 123.7 yards per game. He’s posted three straight 100-yard rushing games, piling up 561 yards (187.0 avg) and 5 TDs during that stretch.
