USC's Adoree' Jackson shows 100-yard speed on kickoff return

Oct 25, 2014

Adoree' Jackson wants you to see what his 100-yard dash speed looks like in pads.

There wasn't much need for jukes, starts or stops when the freshman USC return man and high school sprinter caught a kickoff return six yards deep in the Trojans' end zone Saturday at Utah. A few blocks by USC teammates caused a few Utah coverage men to fall down, and another Ute simply whiffed on a tackle. Jackson looked like he was back on the track as he sprinted right along the sideline all the way to the opposite end zone, giving the Trojans a 14-10 lead in the first half.

Even though the game became a 24-21 Utah victory, the return wasn't Jackson's only big play on the night. With Utah threatening in the second half, Jackson stripped Utes receiver Tim Patrick at the goal line and recovered the ball in the end zone to give USC a chance to put the game away. The Trojans didn't pull it off, but expect to see a lot more of Jackson making plays this season.
