Women’s Golf Completes Day Two in Wilmington
TUCSON, Ariz. – University of Arizona women’s golf completed the second round of the Landfall Tradition on Saturday. The team shot 299 (+11) on the day, bringing their total score to 592 (+16) through two rounds of play.
Senior Kendall Prince led the Wildcats with a score of 73 (+1), followed by junior Lindsey Weaver with 74 (+2). Sophomore Jessica Vasilic finished third for Arizona with a score of 75 (+3) with three birdies on the day. After leading the Wildcats yesterday, senior Manon Gidali finished with a score of 77 (+5) and currently sits in a tie for 30th place. Sophomore Wanasa Zhou rounds out the Arizona five with a 78 (+6).
After completing the first round of play tied for 12th place with a score of 293 (+5), Arizona now sits in 14th place with a 592 (+16). There is currently a two-way tie for first place. No.11 Wake Forest and No. 15 Oklahoma State share the spot with total scores of 575 (-1). No. 18 Virginia and Purdue tie for third place at +2 with scores of 578.
Arizona is set to tee off on the final day of the Landfall Tradition at 5:45 a.m. MST/8:45 EST with No. 16 N.C. State and No. 21 Ohio State.
