•    Wooden Award Preseason Top 50: Seven Pac-12 players honored among the nation’s Top 50 preseason candidates for the prestigous John R. Wooden Award.

•    NCAA Tournament Future Sites... The NCAA announced preliminary round sites for the 2016-18 NCAA Tournaments. In 2017, UTAH will host 1st/2nd Rounds in the Jon Huntsman Center, while the Pac-12 will host the West Regional in San Jose at the SAP Center. Last week, the NCAA announced that Glendale, Ariz., (University of Phoenix Stadium) will be site of the 2017 Final Four. It’ll be the first western site to host the Final Four since UCLA won the 1995 national title in Seattle.

•    The Pac-12 opened the first weekend of the season with a 14-2 record. Each of the 14 victories were by 11 or more points, with an average margin of victory of 23.5 points in those 14 games... CALIFORNIA won both of its games last week, each by 34 points. While OREGON had that largest margin of victory at 42 points in its 107-65 season-opening win over Coppin State.
