UCLA's Lee named Pac-12 women's golfer of the month

SAN FRANCISCO – Alison Lee of UCLA has been named the Pac-12 Women’s Golfer of the Month for November, the Pac-12 announced today. The honor is Lee’s second this year.

Lee, a native of Valencia, Calif., won her fourth career collegiate tournament, shooting 10-under 208 at Nanea Golf Course in Hawaii to take first in the Pac-12 Preview and lead UCLA to a second-place team finish. The sophomore came out on fire, shooting an opening round 68 and following with a 69 in the second round to take a three-stroke lead over the field after 36 holes. Lee was the only player in the tournament to post a pair of sub-70 rounds. She closed it out in the final round shooting a one-under 71.  

In nine rounds this season, Lee is 21-under par overall. She leads the Bruins with seven rounds under par, and has scored under 70 in five rounds.  In 43 career rounds, she boasts a scoring average of 70.7 and is 43-under par. In her career, she has recorded 11 top-10 finishes, 13 top-20 results, 27 rounds under par and 15 rounds under 70. GolfWeek has Lee ranked as the nation’s No. 2 golfer.

This is UCLA’s third golfer of the month recipient this season and Lee’s fifth career golfer of the month award.
