Colorado football: Christian Powell leads ground attack in loss to Utah
Coming into Colorado's showdown with Utah on Saturday, Christian Powell had only one rushing touchdown this season. He tripled that number against the Utes in the first half alone, which matched a career-high and helped add to the back-and-forth on the Pac-12 Networks televised game.
It was Powell's first game in two years with multiple rushing touchdowns. He had two short scores to get the day started for the Buffaloes before breaking out for a 33-yard touchdown run (as seen above) to give Colorado a 21-16 lead in the heart of the third quarter.
Utah scored a late pick-six to pull out a 38-34 win against the Buffaloes, but Powell is one of several promising pieces for coach Mike MacIntyre's squad as it looks to next season.
