Hannah Suh Cards Tournament’s Lowest Round at Silver Belle

CHANDLER, Ariz. – California women’s golf junior Hannah Suh had the lowest round of the tournament when she shot an 8-under 64 Tuesday in the final round of competition at the 44th Annual Joanne Winter Arizona Silver Belle Championship, one of the country’s leading national junior tournaments.

Suh moved up 39 spots from her second round finish to place ninth overall at the three-day, 54-hole tournament that was held at the Whirlwind Golf Club. She scored a 75-73-64=212 (-4) at the tournament, and her 64 in the final round is two strokes better than the next lowest score in the tournament, a 66 carded by both Emilia Migliaccio and tournament champion Mariel Galdiano (66-67-67=200, -16).

Golden Bear Alice Jeong placed 37th overall in a field of 112 with a 71-73-76=220 (+4) at the par-72, 6,500-yard course.

Carly Childs had her best round of the tournament Tuesday with an even 72 to jump nearly 30 spots to 58th overall with a 77-75-72=224 (+8). Natalie Mu was the fourth Golden Bear to compete and finished the tournament with a consistent run of 78-78-78=234 (+18).  

COURSE: Whirlwind Golf Club (par-72; 6,250 yards) – Chandler, Ariz.

FORMAT: The Joanne Winter Arizona Silver Belle Championship is a leading national junior tournament pairing girls and women 13 - 23 years of age in a 54-hole stroke play championship. Points earned in the tournament go toward players’ World Amateur Golf Ranking.
