No. 32 Women’s Tennis To Compete In ITA Kickoff Weekend

Evanston, Ill. – The No. 32 Arizona State women’s tennis team is set to compete in the ITA Kickoff weekend this Saturday against host No. 17 Northwestern.  First action for ASU will begin at 10 a.m. MST.

Matches will be held from January 23-25 for the seventh annual ITA Kick-Off Weekend. One hundred and twenty teams - 60 men's and 60 women's - will compete at 15 regional sites across the country for berths in the ITA National Team Indoor Championships in February.  

Competing at Northwestern is one of the toughest groupings--No. 17 Northwestern, No. 24 Rice, No. 44 Kentucky, and No. 32 Arizona State.

Saturday, ASU will compete in round one against Northwestern as Rice takes on Kentucky. Following Saturday’s matches, the losing teams will face off on Sunday at 10 a.m. MT for the Consolation Match. Saturday’s victors will go head to head on Sunday at 2 p.m. MT for the Championship Match. The winner of the Northwestern Regional will move on to compete in the ITA Team Indoor Championshps, Feb. 6-9 in Charlottesville, Va 

Up next, the Sun Devils will be back in Tempe, Ariz. to face No. 31 Ohio State on Sunday, Feb. 1 at Noon MT.
