Colorado

Tragic news out of Boulder as Colorado announced that 23-year-old hurdler Kyle MacIntosh passed away Thursday following his battle with cancer. MacIntosh was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma in December 2013 and had been hospitalized for the past month following a brain aneurysm.

USC

On the court last night – USC had two guys score 30+ in the same game for the first time ever (Katin Reinhardt 35, Nikola Jovanovic 30) in a 98-94 triple-overtime loss to the Buffs, but since it’s Super Bowl Sunday coming up, Conquest Chronicles lists the 16 former USC Trojans who will be at the Super Bowl, all of them with Seattle. The USC Seahawks, y’all.

UCLA

Oh the joys of playing at home. Not even four weeks removed from a 71-39 loss in the SLC, UCLA men’s basketball upset No. 11 Utah 69-59 at home Thursday night thanks to a 23-spot from Norman Powell.

Utah

CollegeBasketballTalk’s Raphielle Johnson says it was a sluggish performance from the Utes (along with Powell going hard in the paint) that led to Utah’s loss at UCLA.

California

Cal got the monkey off its back, breaking a six-game losing skid with a 76-67 win at Washington State. After the game, Pac-12 Networks caught up with Cal’s Tyrone Wallace, who scored 21 of his 26 points in the first half.

Washington State

Arizona State

Huh? Friday night men’s basketball during conference season? You better believe it, as we got a doubleheader for ya on the Pac-12 Networks, starting with Arizona State hosting Oregon at 5 p.m. PT/6 p.m. MT. Doug Haller writes that Tra Holder’s continued improvement is big for Arizona State. He hit a couple of threes early to get the Forks goin’ against Oregon State.

Arizona

The nightcap will bring us to Tucson, where Arizona will look for a little revenge against Oregon State (7 p.m. PT/8 p.m. MT). Bruce Pascoe believes that Arizona will need patience to beat Oregon State this time around.

Stanford

Who doesn’t love a couple of Richard Sherman headlines, right? First off, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll is leaving Sherman’s decision whether or not to play in the Super Bowl up to him, as his girlfriend is due to give birth any day. Also, Sherman and Michael Bennett criticized the NCAA during one of their press conferences.
