Colorado hired Jim Leavitt as its defensive coordinator, the school announced Thursday. Leavitt was formerly the head coach at South Florida and spent the last four seasons as the linebackers coach with the San Francisco 49ers. Additionally, Colorado AD Rick George said he is not looking to extend the football series with Colorado State beyond its current 2020 expiration date.
