This week in Pac-12 women's basketball
The Pac-12 features three teams in the top-20, 7/8 OREGON STATE, 12/3 ARIZONA STATE and 18/19 STANFORD. CALIFORNIA has been on the verge of the top-25 the last two weeks. Five teams are potential hosts for the NCAA’s first and second round according to the NCAA’s seeding release last week.
OSU is coming off a six-point win over Arizona State, while Cal dropped to 2.0 games back after watching its eight-game win streak come to an end against USC. With two weeks remaining in the regular season, the Beavers lead Cal, Arizona State and Stanford by 2.0 games.
The top-four seeds receive a first round bye on March 5 in Seattle at the Pac-12 Tournament, presented by New York Life. Washington is currently in fifth place, 3.0 games behind the top-four, 2.0 games ahead of UCLA and USC and 3.0 games ahead of eighth place Washington State and Oregon. The fifth place team plays the 12th place team, the sixth place team takes on the 11th place team, and the seventh and eighth place team play in the Tournament’s first round.
