This week in Pac-12 baseball
The bats have broken out early in this season of Pac-12 Baseball. The Conference teams have combined to hit 74 homeruns, and score 816 runs in three weeks of play. Arizona leads the way with 109 runs scored, which ranks second in the nation.
Five Pac-12 teams were ranked in the Collegiate Baseball Poll. UCLA ranked highest at No. 7, followed by OREGON, which moved up to No. 9, ARIZONA STATE (No. 13) USC (No. 20) and STANFORD (No. 26). The LA teams will get a gauge for how they stack up with the nation’s best this week as 1/4 Vanderbilt and 7/1 TCU travel to Los Angeles to faceoff with 6/7 UCAL and 25/20 USC.
This weekend will close with a collision of the crosstown rivals as UCLA and USC meet in a game that will be played at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles and broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks on Sunday March 8 at 3:30 p.m. PT.
