Washington State's Louise Brown surprised by her dad at Pac-12 Tournament
SEATTLE – Washington State freshman forward Louise Brown was caught off-guard by a surprise visitor from her hometown of Melbourne, Australia on the eve of the 2015 Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament. The result: happy tears.
Watch this video and you'll understand why.
A tidbit we love: Louise's family has been watching her games all season from Australia via Pac-12 Networks' international YouTube channel.
"It’s just phenomenal," her father, Steve Brown, said. "We’ve got our Cougs tops on and we sit there and live in the moment from the other side of the world. It’s pretty cool that we can do that, you know?"
Washington State went on to get an opening-round 66-64 win over Oregon Thursday afternoon. The Cougars next play Arizona State in Friday's Pac-12 Women's Basketball Tournament quarterfinals. Tipoff is 11:30 a.m. PT (6:30 a.m. Melbourne time) on Pac-12 Networks and Pac-12 Now.
