Stanford

It wasn’t your typical regular season for Tara’s Team, but Stanford won the Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament by defeating Cal 61-60 Sunday in the finals. Here are the postgame notes and stats from Stanford’s win over Cal. ‘Tis the 11th tournament championship for the Card.

Stanford

The men's basketball season is over, and here are the year-end Pac-12 men's basketball awards. Joseph Young is POTY, Stanley Johnson is FOTY, Gary Payton II is DPOTY, Josh Hawkinson is Most Improved and Dana Altman is COTY.

Arizona

The Pac-12 men's basketball tourney begins Wednesday in Vegas, and Arizona is the No. 1 seed (here are the seedings). T.J. McConnell and Arizona "kissed" the regular season goodbye with a Saturday afternoon 91-69 thumping of Stanford. Awesome moment with McConnell kissing the "A" at mid-court after he was subbed out at the end of the game.

Colorado

The Pac-12 Tournament gives Colorado a fresh start, writes Brian Howell. The Buffs wrapped up conference play 7-11 after an overtime loss at Washington State on Saturday.

Oregon

Thanks to Utah’s loss at Washington Saturday, Oregon is the No. 2 seed for the Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament. The Ducks won nine of their last 10 contests.

UCLA

Meanwhile, UCLA will face either Arizona State or USC in its quarterfinal matchup. The Bruins are squarely on the NCAA tournament bubble.

Washington

A tough season ended on a high note for the Huskies, as Washington men’s basketball stunned Utah 77-68 on Senior Day Saturday. Nigel Williams-Goss dropped 28 on the Utes.

Oregon State

It has been 25 years since LMU basketball star Hank Gathers died, and Oregon State athletic trainer Tom Fregoso recounts to The Oregonian how he tried to save Gathers’ life. At the time, Fregoso was the trainer for Portland, the team LMU was playing when Gathers collapsed on the court and later died. While he couldn’t save Gathers, the experience helped Fregoso when Chai Baker collapsed last August, and luckily Baker pulled through.

Utah

Utah fired women’s basketball coach Anthony Levrets Sunday after he went 21-40 over his last two seasons. His teams were plagued by all sorts of injuries.

USC

Cool experience for the LA schools, as USC baseball beat UCLA 8-4 at Dodger Stadium Sunday as part of the 2015 Dodger Stadium Classic.

Arizona State

While the team makes the transition to NCAA Division I, Arizona State hockey looks to defend its AHCA title, writes Jeff Metcalfe. The Sun Devils won their first American Hockey Collegiate Association Crown in 2014.
