Arizona

The Pac-12 is out of the NCAA tournament on both the men’s and women’s sides, and Arizona men’s hoops was the last team standing before coming up just short of the Final Four again with an Elite Eight loss to Wisconsin (85-78) on Saturday. Bruce Pascoe of the Arizona Daily Star writes that the loss to Arizona State cost Arizona in the long run because it essentially doomed the Cats to a No. 2 seed and another date with Wisconsin in the Elite Eight.

Utah

Hard-fought loss to Duke in the Sweet 16 for the Utes Friday night, and offensive struggles haunted Utah against Duke, according to Kyle Goon of the Salt Lake Tribune.

UCLA

UCLA fell to the Zags 74-62 in a regional semi Friday night, leading Vincent Bonsignore of the Los Angeles Daily News to write that the slipper never quite fit for the Bruins.

Stanford

Stanford women’s basketball lost in the Sweet 16 to Notre Dame 81-60 Friday night in Oklahoma City. The Cardinal shot just 35 percent in the loss. Impressive season nonetheless from the Card, playing without an Ogwumike for the first time in seemingly forever (six years).

Arizona State

Heartbreaking loss for the Arizona State women to Florida State in the Sweet 16 Friday night (66-65), but Jeff Metcalfe thinks the Sun Devils can make a Final Four push in 2016. Also, Doug Haller gives us four names to consider for the Arizona State men’s basketball coaching gig: Trent Johnson, Avery Johnson, Alvin Gentry and Marvin Menzies.

California

Cal men’s soccer player Eloi Vasquez has been reported missing. He was last seen at a frat party at USC early Saturday morning.

USC

Is USC football stud Adoree’ Jackson the most exciting player in the Pac-12? Kyle Bonagura poses the question.

Oregon

Greg A. Bedard from MMQB believes Marcus Mariota could be the next Teddy Bridgewater, a guy who was nit-picked to death before the draft by scouts and execs but had a very solid rookie campaign when it came time to go to work.

Oregon State

The new Baseball America top 25 poll is out, and it’s the first time since 2011 that neither Oregon nor Oregon State is in it (Tyson Alger of The Oregonian points out this fact). USC (No. 8) and UCLA (No. 9) are in the top 10, while Arizona State is 11th and Cal is 21st.

Washington

Adam Jude gives us five storylines to watch for Washington spring football. Practice started Monday morning.

Colorado

Coach Linda Lappe is optimistic for the future of Colorado women’s basketball, notes Kyle Ringo. Next season could be a pretty good one; look for Jamee Swan to take a big leap as a senior in 2015-16.
