Roundup: Oregon headlines softball super regionals this weekend

Eric Evans

Oregon

Oregon is one of three Pac-12 softball teams in super regional play this weekend (Arizona and UCLA the others), and Tyson Alger previews the Ducks' super regional series against NC State. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. PT Friday at Howe Field in Eugene.

UCLA

Skip this link, Trojans fans - UCLA clinched the SoCal BMW Crosstown Cup competition over USC by winning the season-long head-to-head battle with the Trojans across all sports.

Arizona

Jon Gold of the Arizona Daily Star gives us an outlook for Arizona women's golf at the NCAA championships. They tee off Friday in Bradenton, Florida.

Stanford

What'dya say we take a look at a 2015 Stanford football preview, provided to us by David Lombardi of ESPN fame.

Arizona State

James Harden had a fantastic Game 2, but his turnover on the final play of the game cost the Houston Rockets in a 99-98 loss to Golden State Thursday night. Great defense by former Coug Klay Thompson and the MVP on the play.

USC

USC men's tennis has two players in the round of 16 of the NCAA men's singles bracket, with Yannick Hanfmann and Jonny Wang posting victories Thursday in Waco, Texas, at the NCAA individual tennis championships.

California

Chris Johnson of Sports Illustrated considers Cal basketball a winner in the spring recruiting period (easy to see why). He considers Arizona a loser for missing out on a couple of targets.

Colorado

Apologies on the delayed props on this one, but Colorado's Erin Clark was named Pac-12 Women's Track and Field Freshman of the Year on Wednesday. She is the recently-crowned Pac-12 champion in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

Oregon State

Connor Letourneau thinks it's unlikely that Oregon State baseball will host a regional after losing to Oregon Tuesday (it is surely going to the tournament, however). Just one weekend left in the (college) baseball regular season.

Utah

Hey y'all, let's read Delon Wright's draft diary that he penned for Yahoo! Sports! He has been working out with Will Conroy, a former Husky who is of course known for holding a share of the D-League scoring record in a single game (53 points) until Pierre Jackson broke it in 2014.

Washington

Mason Kelly of GoHuskies.com is at it again as he details how Washington women's golf "hunkered in the bunker" to get to the NCAA championships after losing its top two golfers in December to the LPGA Tour.

Washington State

CougCenter takes a look at preseason projections for Washington State football.
