ASU Water Polo Adds PJ Allin to 2015-16 Signing Class

TEMPE ? The Arizona State University water polo team added another member to its 2015-16 class with the addition of Peggy-Jean (PJ) Allin, who has signed her NLI and athletics grant-in-aid paperwork to join the Sun Devils next season, head coach Todd Clapper announced.

A Canadian hailing from Victoria, British Columbia, Allin brings wealth of experience at several different levels and can make an immediate impression on the ASU squad.

“PJ is a talented left-handed player with a lot of experience at the Canadian club level, as well as the National youth level,” Clapper said. “She has the drive and the talent to make a big impact with us.”

Allin and her Pacific Storm Water Polo club took fifth in the National Championship League this past season. The squad was fifth at the Hawai’i Invitational and the Youth National Club Championships in 2014.

She was a member of the 2013 Canadian U16 National team and captained her team in the Cadet National Club Championships in 2012.

Allin is a provincially carded athlete and has been in development since 2012 while also competing on her high school swim team at Reynolds Secondary School in B.C.

At Reynolds, Allin has been an accomplished student-athlete in the classroom as well with a 5.0 GPA on a 5.0 scale, earning Honour Roll honors each year at the school while taking part in a number of extracurricular and volunteer activities. ?

Allin is the sixth member of an exceptional-looking 2015-16 signing class that includes pair of Dutch attackers in Maud?Koopman and?Bente Rogge alongside English center Rosie Huck (Manchester, England/Manchester High School For Girls). The team will also add two goalkeepers in Ellie Karl?(Pasadena/Calif./Mayfield Senior School) and?Sophia Burgess (Sacramento, Calif./Rio Americano High School).
