Track & Field?s Alumna Williams Qualifies For 200m Semis At USAs

EUGENE, Ore.—Arizona State track and field’s alumna Charonda Williams qualified for the semifinals of the 200m dash on Saturday at the USA Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field.

Williams won the fourth heat with a time of 22.63, and will run in Sunday’s semifinal race at 12:05 p.m. PT.

Also for the Sun Devils, redshirt freshman Magdalyn Ewen placed 17th in the women’s discus finals at 52.77m (173-01).

Sunday’s competition also includes Desiree Davila in the 5000m run finals at 10:20 a.m. PT, Chris Benard in the triple jump finals at 12:10 p.m. PT, Jordan Clarke and Ryan Whiting in the shot put finals at 12:20 p.m. PT, and in Shelby Houlihan in the finals of the 1500m at 2:40 p.m. PT
