BURBANK, Calif.Pac-12 Football Media Days don’t usually turn into a fashion show with coaches and players wearing school polos, but Arizona State head honcho Todd Graham has owned the red carpet this week with his Sun Devil boots. Wearing them to the ESPN car wash Wednesday, Graham flashed his maroon alligator boots with a pitchfork on the front and Arizona State mascot Sparky on the back to a media throng at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank Thursday morning.

“Squared-toed, too. If you’re not from Texas, you don’t know what that means,” Graham said.

Graham said he got the boots from Jack Furst, a friend of the Arizona State program and business mogul ivolved with Lucchese Boot Company. He also has a black pair of the boots and has a fan in ESPN’s Brett McMurphy, who declared his shoes the best of any college football coach in the country.

Just don’t expect him to wear them for games this year. “I’d probably slip on the sidelines,” he said.
