SAN FRANCISCO - OREGON STATE’s Mikhail Doholis was voted the Pac-12 Men’s Soccer Player of the Week forthe opening week of the season, the Conference announced today. This is Oregon State’s first Pac-12 Player of the Week honor since 2012.
Doholis, a senior forward from Vancouver, Wash., scored his sixth-career tally in Oregon State’s 1-0 opening-season win with a golden goal against Marquette in the 97th minute. In a win over No. 9 Michigan State, he found teammate Timmy Mueller to assist in the only goal in the 1-0 upset over the Spartans. After two games, Doholis leads Oregon State in points (3).
This is Doholis’ first-career weekly honor and Oregon State’s 18th all-time player of the week, and first since 2012.
The No. 21 Beavers host Vermont on Friday, Sept. 4 at 4:30 p.m. PT in their only match of the week.
A total of 37 matches will be featured live on the Pac-12 Networks.
