Palouse Ridge Named Fifth-Best College Course

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University's Palouse Ridge Golf Course is the fifth-best college course in the nation for the second-straight year, according to Golfweek, which released its top-30 this week.

Washington State is one of two Pac-12 schools to have its home course make the list, as Stanford's golf course came in at sixth. The two are also the only golf courses on the west coast to make the list.

This marks the second-straight year WSU's home course has been featured on Golfweek's Best Campus Courses list, which accounts for 30 courses and is compiled by Golfweek course raters. The Course at Yale tops the list with an average ranking of 7.46. Palouse Ridge's average ranking is 6.26.

The Palouse Ridge Golf Course opened in 2008. John Harbottle III, who has designed courses in Nevada and Colorado, designed the 7,308-yard, par-72 track. Palouse Ridge also made LINKS Magazine's Top 10 College Courses list at number 2.
