Sep 21, 2015

SAN FRANCISCO - The 2015-16 Pac-12 women’s basketball 197-regular season schedule is set to tip off Friday, Nov. 13 and over 100 of those games will be televised this season. Highlights on the schedule include non-conference matchups against ranked opponents on both the Pac-12 and ESPN Networks, a league clash on Big Monday on ESPN2 and the live telecast of all 11 games of the Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament from KeyArena in Seattle, including the championship game on ESPN. Every Pac-12 team will appear on television this season at least 10 times.

The non-conference television slate includes nine games against teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament last year. NCAA Sweet Sixteen participant ARIZONA STATE hosts Kentucky, a second-round NCAA Tournament team, on Nov. 15 on Pac-12 Network to tip off the tv schedule. NCAA Women’s Final Four participant South Carolina visits UCLA on the Conference’s network a week later on Nov. 22.

The December television schedule includes exciting matchups on both the Pac-12 Network and ESPN Network. NCAA Tournament squads Oklahoma, Gonzaga, Nebraska and Tennessee make an appearance on the league network against WASHINGTON (Dec. 6), WASHINGTON STATE (Dec. 8), CALIFORNIA (Dec. 12) and OREGON STATE (Dec. 19), respectively. The UT Lady Vols also make a stop at STANFORD on ESPNU on Dec. 16, while ASU looks to avenge an one-point NCAA Tournament loss when the Sun Devils host Florida State on Dec. 21 on ESPNU.

After a non-conference clash between UCLA and Cal in Berkeley on Dec. 21 on the Pac-12 Network, the official Pac-12 slate tips off with the Huskies visiting the Cougars on Dec. 29 on the same network.

In February, the Beavers and Sun Devils, who finished 1-2 in the Conference last year, will be on ESPN2’s Big Monday slate on Feb. 1 from Corvallis, Ore. On Feb. 14, the Bruins host the Huskies on ESPNU, as well.

The Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament begins March 3 from KeyArena in Seattle and every game of the event will be televised live. The four games of the first and second round will be televised on the Pac-12 Network, as well as both semifinals on March 5. The Pac-12 Tournament champion will be crowned on March 6 at 6 p.m. PT on ESPN.

Five women’s basketball teams received NCAA Tournament bids for the second-consecutive year, with Arizona State, Oregon State and Stanford each earning host sites for the first- and second-round games. In addition, Cal and Washington earned bids to the Big Dance. The Cardinal and the Sun Devils then both advanced to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen. UCLA and Washington State participated in the WNIT, with the Bruins winning their first-ever WNIT crown.
