OPENING NIGHT: 11 of the 12 Pac-12 teams tip off the 2015-16 season Friday ... Nine games will be aired by Pac-12 Networks ... COLORADO will be the first team under way as it takes on Iowa State in Sioux Falls, S.D., at 3 p.m. MT (ESPN2) ... The second matchup vs. the Big 12 on the opening day of the season will take place halfway around the globe as WASHINGTON and Texas meet in Shaghai in the first-ever regular season U.S. college sporting event in China.

POLL WATCHING: Out of 1,108 total polls since 1949, UCLA (668 polls) and ARIZONA (483 polls) rank fifth and ninth nationally in terms of total appearances in the AP Top 25 poll ... Arizona comes in at No. 12 in the preseason poll, its 59th consecutive appearance in the poll, and 39th consecutive appearance in the Top 10.
