SAN FRANCISCO - The NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship Sport Committee made its second of three announcements on Monday of its top-10 rankings in seed order, giving a look into their current thought process as it relates to the NCAA Tournament selections in early March. Owning the No. 1 Conference RPI for most of the season, the Pac-12 again was the only league with three teams in the ranking as OREGON STATE, ARIZONA STATE and UCLA made an appearance for the second time.

Oregon State is No. 7 in the ranking, followed by No. 8 Arizona State and No. 10 UCLA. The Beavers are ranked seventh in the latest Associated Press poll, which was released earlier today. It ties the highest ranking in the program’s history. ASU is ninth in the AP polling and the Bruins are No. 12. With just two weekends remaining in the regular season, OSU and ASU are currently tied for the Conference lead, each earning a 13-1 record so far. UCLA is standing alone in second place at 11-3.

The Pac-12 has the top Conference RPI in the nation with the league featuring four teams in the top 10 of the most recent RPI posted today: No. 6 Stanford, No. 7 Arizona State, No. 9 Oregon State, and No. 10 UCLA. Ten of the league’s 12 teams are also in the top 77.

The Feb. 15 ranking is the second of three times the potential seeding will be announced during February, with final future ranking coming up again on the 29th. The initial announcement on each of those days will take place at halftime of the Big Monday games taking place on ESPN2. The three February announcements will have no bearing on the final bracket that will be revealed on Selection Monday, March 14, at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
