Irving named Pac-12 video coordinator of the year
SAN FRANCISCO - In a polling of the Conference Video Coordinators, Nick Irving from the University of Washington has been voted the Pac-12 Video Coordinator of the Year. Now in its 18th season, the award is given annually to the Conference Video Coordinator who best demonstrates exemplary performance in the field of team video and surrounding technologies.
Irving is now a finalist for the prestigious Bob Matey National Video Coordinator of the Year, which will be voted on by a separate panel at the Collegiate Sports Video Association Conference in Cincinnati, OH. in May. The Bob Matey Award is presented to the Video Coordinator who displays innovation, determination, perseverance, and technical skill as portrayed by the late Bob Matey, legendary Video Coordinator from Texas A&M.
Irving is in his fourth season overseeing management of the Washington football video department and his 14th overall with the University. His responsibilities include managing the coaching analysis information network, maintaining hardware and software, and overseeing video crews. He currently resides in Seattle with his fiancé, Reshma Kooner.
