ASU’s Strom Pac-12 Women’s Golfer Of The Month

SAN FRANCISCO – Freshman Linnea Strom of ASU has been named the Pac-12 Women’s Golfer of the Month for April, the Pac-12 announced today.

The Hovas, Sweden native helped her team to a second place finish at the Ping/ASU Invitational. Following that tournament, Strom had a record-breaking performance to claim the Individual title at the Pac-12 Women’s Golf Championship. At the Pac-12 Championships, Strom rallied from four stroke behind on the final day to go 6-under 66. She captured the individual title with a birdie on the final hole, which gave her the one stroke advantage over top ranked Bronte Law of UCLA. In the final round, Strom shot her collegiate best round of (66) and declared the tournament record of with a score of 205.

This marks the fifth top-three finish for the Sun Devils. ASU is currently ranked 10 going into NCAA Baton Rouge Regionals on Thursday, May 5 to Saturday, May 7 at the University Club.

Also nominated for golfer of the month honors were Alexis Keating, Sr., COLORADO; Cathleen Santoso, Jr., OREGON; Gabriella Then, Jr., USC; Bronte Law, Jr., UCLA.
