Arizona State

Arizona State reinstated men’s tennis as a varsity sport after an eight-year hiatus. That brings the total of varsity sports at ASU up to 26, four of which have been added in the last year and a half.

UCLA

The Bruins found out early this morning that they'll be headed to the Kohler (Wisconsin) NCAA Men's Golf Regional next week. UCLA is just one of eight Pac-12 teams in total that are headed for NCAA play

Washington State

Sam Vecenie lets us know that Washington State lifted transfer restrictions on men’s basketball center Valentine Izundu. The issue mainly centered around San Diego State, a place Izundu had interest in transferring to but Wazzu initially said no. Now, Izundu tells Vecenie and CBS Sports that Washington State granted his release to transfer to San Diego State (he will also visit Fresno State and UNLV).

Utah

In a Leicester City-esque story in the Pac-12 world, Utah baseball is tied for first with Washington atop the Pac-12 standings at 11-7 (Mike Sorensen, Deseret News). The Utes have been to just one NCAA tournament since 1960 and have finished in last place each of their first four years in the conference.

Oregon State

Danny Moran takes a look ahead at Oregon State baseball’s critical weekend series at Arizona (Friday-Sunday). The Beavs have had trouble lately leaving runners on, so they’ll need some more timely hitting in Tucson.

Zac Ellis of Sports Illustrated believes that USC defensive tackle Malik Dorton is due for a breakout season in 2016. The converted linebacker played in two games last year, but looked good during the spring session. Oregon wide receiver Dillon Mitchell also gets a nod here.
