Pac-12 Networks announces first three weeks of 2016 football television schedule

Action begins with 14 games in first three weeks, beginning Thursday, September 1 

SAN FRANCISCO (June 1, 2016) – The countdown to the 2016 college football season has begun and Pac-12 Networks is excited to bring fans 14 live football games in just the first three weeks of the 2016 season, beginning Thursday, September 1.

Pac-12 Networks will air 35 Pac-12 games throughout the 2016 season, including 20 conference games. The early slate includes quadruple-headers on the first three Saturdays in September and features home openers for 10 Pac-12 schools: Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA, USC, Utah, Washington and Washington State.

Week one kicks off with five games over three days, from Thursday, September 1 – Saturday, September 3. Head coach Kyle Whittingham and the Utah Utes kick things off Thursday, hosting Southern Utah at 6 p.m. MT/5 p.m. PT. A full college football Saturday on September 3 wraps up week 1 with Rutgers at Washington, followed by UC Davis at Oregon and Eastern Washington visiting Washington State. The Arizona State Sun Devils will serve up the nightcap with a 7:45 p.m. PT meeting against Northern Arizona.  

In week two, Pac-12 Networks features five games on Saturday, September 10 starting with Utah State visiting the USC Trojans at 11 a.m. PT, and Idaho at Washington at 2 p.m. PT. The Buffs make their Pac-12 Networks debut with a home contest against Idaho State at 3:30 p.m. MT/2:30 p.m. PT, followed by UNLV visiting QB Josh Rosen and the UCLA Bruins at 5 p.m. PT. The day concludes with the Arizona Wildcats as they host Grambling State at 7:45 p.m. PT.

Week 3 begins Saturday, September 17 with another battle in Pullman, Wash. as the Cougars host Idaho at 11 a.m. PT, in addition to Idaho State visiting the Oregon State Beavers later that day. Washington hosts Portland State at 5 p.m. PT, with Hawai'i at Arizona closing out the day with a 7:45 p.m. PT start time.

Stay tuned for additional announcements regarding Pac-12 Networks’ fall football programming slate, including new shows and broadcast and in-studio talent pairings on Pac-12.com. The remaining network television schedule will be determined and announced 6-to-12 days prior to the games.
