Roundup: Oregon State names interim AD
Following Todd Stansbury’s departure for Georgia Tech, Marianne Vydra has been named Oregon State interim athletic director, reports Gina Mizell. She also served in this role after Bob De Carolis stepped down.
USC got a major academic nod from the inaugural Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education survey, which ranked the Trojans No. 15 nationally. The survey polled 1,000 U.S. universities, ranking them based on criteria including the diversity of student populations, the availability of student resources, how well students were challenged by courses, etc.

Haha this is pretty great – Ernie Kent won an auction to coach against himself when the Cougars play Idaho on Dec. 7. Supporting Coaches vs. Cancer through the donation, he bid $2,000 on an Idaho “Coach for a Day” experience when the Vandals head to Pullman, where Kent will get to have a pre-game meal with Idaho, sit on the Vandals’ bench and even draw up a play.
