Swimming Signees
GRANT HOUSE (Maineville, Ohio/St. Xavier High School | Freestyle/IM)
House is a Bright, Ind. native and attends St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. The six-time individual state champion was named Greater Cincinnati Male Swimmer of the Year (2013-16) and a two-time NSCA National Champion (2014-16). House was a 2016 Olympic trials qualifier and competed at the 2015 Junior World Championships, winning a gold medal in the 800 free relay. The Academic All-American and two-sport letterwinner also won a 2016 state championship in water polo.Â
On why he chose ASU:Â "The commitment from the coaches to not just excellence in swimming but also in creating an all-around better human being. They looked at recruits as more than just athletes but rather as young men and women that will help raise the overall level of performance in all areas at ASU."
On what he's looking forward to most: "Being a part of a program and institution that is striving to build its national notoriety and status among all sports and academically."

ERICA LANING (Knoxville, Tenn./Hardin Valley Academy | Freestyle)
Laning is a three-time All-American (2013-16) and Tennessee state champion in the 200 and 500 freestyle. Also winning a national high school championship in the 500 free, she holds the Tennessee state record in the event. Laning also qualified and competed in the 2016 Olympic trials.
On why she chose ASU: "I knew the second I stepped onto campus that ASU was the place for me. Something about the atmosphere is truly electric and makes you want to be a part of it."
On what she's looking forward to most:Â "I'm really looking forward to being a part of a building program and something that I can already tell is going to be amazing."
EMMA NORDIN (Carmel, Ind./Carmel High School | Freestyle)
Nordin broke the Carmel High School freestyle record in 2015 and, with her high school team, broke the national record with their 30th consecutive state win in 2015. Also excelling academically, Nordin is a four-year Scholar-Athlete (2013-17) and a National Honor Society member.
On why she chose ASU:Â "I liked the team atmosphere, their growth mindset, and their excitement to improve. I also found that the coaching staff and their style was exactly what I was looking for. In addition, it was pleasing to see that there is a way for me to succeed academically in the area that I chose."
On what she's looking forward to most:Â "I'm looking forward to becoming a better athlete and learning new things inside and outside the pool. I am also excited to make new memories and new friends with my teammates."
WILL BRENTON (Long Lake, MN/Orono High School | Backstroke)
The four-time letterwinner earned All-American status in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing second in the event at the Minnesota state championships in 2016. A three-time All-State honoree (2014-16) won the 50 back at ISCA Dolphin Junior Nationals and finished third in 50 back and seventh in 100 back at Summer NCSA in 2016.

On why he chose ASU: "I chose ASU because I wanted to be a part of a team where the coaching staff and the swimmers had huge goals and aspirations for what they wanted to achieve. After visiting ASU, meeting the coaching staff, and getting to know the swimmers, there was absolutely no doubt that I had found my home for the next four years. Combined with the opportunities at the W.P. Carey School of Business, I felt it was the perfect fit for me."

On what he's looking forward to most: "I am looking most forward to getting to know and train with my teammates and coaches and representing the Sun Devils in and out of the water."

Other interesting info: "My most exciting moment in sports was my 100 back at the 2016 Minnesota High School State meet. Five months before this meet, I had brain surgery, which was a major setback. Due to the surgery, my high school season was cut short by almost two months. I wasn't able to train to the extent that I had wanted to, yet at the end of the season, I still reached my goals in the pool and that was one of the most rewarding and exhilarating feelings, not only in the sport but my life."
JACK DALMOLIN (Cumming, Ga./North Forsyth High School | Breaststroke/IM)
Between NFHS and Chattahoochee Gold Swim Club, Dalmolin was a four-time team captain as well as a Scholastic All-American and Summer Juniors and Senior National qualifier. He placed first in the 200 breaststroke at 2015 Georgia Senior Short Course State Championships, sixth in the same event at the 2016 Futures Championships in Atlanta, and was a runner-up in the 200 free at the 2016 Georgia GHSA 6A State Championships. Academically, Dalmolin is a member of the National Honor Society and English National Honor Society.

On what he's looking forward to most: "The competitive atmosphere at Arizona State is like no other. I can't wait to train and compete with such a dedicated and talented group who all have the same goal in mind – making ASU a national powerhouse."
CAITLYN WILSON (Tigard, Ore./Southridge High School | Distance Freestyle)
Wilson holds the Oregon Swimming Women's 17-18 record in the 1500m free as well as the Tualatin Hills Swim Club Women's 800m and 1500m free records. A National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association All-American awardee, Wilson won the 400 free at the Speedo Western Zone Championships in 2016. She was a state runner-up in 2014 and 2016 and holds the Southridge High School records in the 200 and 500 free, breaking her own record in the latter in 2016. Academically, Wilson is a four-year honor roll awardee and received an award for 200+ volunteer hours.

Other interesting info: "I have been an Oregon Swimming athlete representative for three years. I am currently an at-large representative and I helped create the Oregon-wide team athletic representative project this past year."
CRISTIAN MUSTERAIT (Souderton, Pa./Souderton Area High School | Sprint Freestyle)
A three-time All-American, Musterait is a team MVP and four-year letterwinner for both swimming and water polo and was named Rookie of the Year for both as a freshman. The 2016 All-Intel Swimmer of the Year broke a nearly 20-year-old team record in the 50 free and earned a district championship in the same event. He also finished runner-up at PIAA State Championship in the 50 free and fourth in the 100 free in 2016.

On why he chose ASU: "The team atmosphere is like no other. Each and every athlete wants the best for each other, whether it be in the pool or in the classroom. The team truly is a genuine group that is there for one another no matter what. Without a doubt, after my visit, my decision was very clear and I knew that ASU was the place where I could grow not only as an athlete but a student as well."

CAMRYN CURRY (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian High School | Backstroke/IM)
Curry is an All-Area and All-American swimmer from Midlothian, Va. whose most exciting sports memory thus far is making her first Virginia Zone team in 2009. She is a National Honor Society and Quill and Scroll Honor Society member and serves as editor-in-chief of the MHS yearbook.

On why she chose ASU: "I chose Arizona State not only for its excellent coaching staff and super uplifting team but for its ability to make students strive in what they love. I am super excited to be a part of the Sun Devil family, to contribute not only in the pool but in academics as well. I can't wait for what awaits me in the future!"

NORA DELESKE (Huntington Beach, Calif./Edison High School | Breaststroke/IM)
The All-American and three-time Sunset League Swimmer of the Year also earned a CIF championship in the 200 IM. Deleske also competed at the 2016 Olympic Trials. A two-time team captain, Deleske also earned the Edison High School Character Award.

On why she chose ASU: "I chose ASU for one simple reason – this is the best school in the country. No other place can give you an amazing coaching staff, incredible team, and a great education. I am so excited to spend my next four years in Tempe."

On what she's looking forward to most: "I am looking forward to so many things about being a Sun Devil. I am excited to represent ASU as a student-athlete and compete for the school on a national level. However, I think the one thing I am looking forward to the most is being a part of an amazing program with great coaches and incredible athletes."
MEGHAN BURTON (Midlothian, Va./Trinity Episcopal School | Backstroke/Butterfly)
Burton is a four-time varsity letterwinner for swim as well as a letterwinner for softball. At Trinity Episcopal School, she was a 2016 VISAA three-time All-State swimmer.
JOSH VEDDER (Phoenix, Ariz./Desert Vista High School | Backstroke/Freestyle)
Vedder is a four-year varsity letterwinner and team captain from nearby Desert Vista High School. He earned All-American status in 2015 and was named Tempe All-City from 2013-16. He became the first male at DVHS to ever win state as a sophomore.
MORGAN CRAMM-TAMISIEA (Coolidge, Ariz./Coolidge High School | Freestyle)
Cramm-Tamisiea holds the state record in the 200 and 500 free and was a third-place finisher at state in the 50 and 500 SCY free her sophomore season. The Athlete of the Year (2015/2016) also serves as team captain. Outside of swimming, she was a first-place science fair finalist, a Unified Sports Captain, a National Honor Society member, and a Top 10 Academic honoree all four years of high school.

On why she chose ASU: "From the moment I stepped onto Arizona State's campus, I felt welcomed and desired. It was super exciting to walk around and see the many different opportunities that ASU presents. All the coaches and swimmers were very funny, exciting, motivating, and committed to being the best they could be not only for themselves, but to benefit those around them as well. I'm so excited to be a part of such a positive environment and to be able to contribute both academically and athletically to ASU. Go Devils!"

KAROLINA HAJKOVA (Bratislava, Slovakia/Sportove Gymnazium Ostredky | Backstroke/Freestyle)
Hajkova is a backstroker/freestyler from Bratislava, Slovakia and will graduate from Sportove Gymnazium Ostredky in 2017 before making the long trek to Tempe. One of her favorite sports memories includes the time leading up to and during the Olympics because of the atmosphere surrounding the event.

On why she chose ASU: "I chose ASU because I would love to be a part of something that is growing so rapidly. I also love warm weather and training outside is one of my favorites. I also love a big team which feels like family."

GRAHAM HAUSS (Clovis, Calif./Clovis High School | Freestyle)
Hauss, a three-time state champion and 10 time All-American, also received Most Outstanding Swimmer accolades at Clovis High School three times. Academically, he is a National Honor Society member, AP Scholar of Distinction, and California Scholarship Federation honoree.

AARON BEAUCHAMP (Phoenix, Ariz./Desert Vista High School | Breaststroke)
A four-time state finalist and USA Swimming Scholastic All-American, Beauchamp also received high school All-American consideration for finishing second in 100 breast in 2016. He is a member of the Rho Kappa Social Sciences Honor Society, won multiple awards for Junior Achievement for Networking and Team Building competitions, and won first place at the Arizona State Solar Car competitions as part of his engineering club in high school.

EVAN CARLSON (Portland, Ore./Woodrow Wilson High School | Butterfly/Freestyle)
Carlson won his first individual championship title in the 200 fly in March 2016 at the Western Sectional championships, while placing third at the Futures Championships in the 200 fly most recently (Aug. 2016). He was named the Wilson Men's Swimming MVP twice (2014-15, 2015-16) as well as a Wilson Scholar Athlete. Academically, he is also a National Honor Society and Wilson Academic Excellence member.

On why he chose ASU: "ASU offers me the ability to compete at the Division I level in the Pac-12 with some very prestigious coaches and a strong program, a good engineering program, and an optimal location, being an hour drive from relatives."

On what he's looking forward to most: "Being part of a rapidly improving program on its way to the top and working towards an engineering degree with one of the largest engineering programs in the country."
Diving Signees
ASHLEY McCOOL (Cochrane, Alberta, Canada/National Sport School | Diving)
McCool has been a member of the Canadian Junior National Team since 2015 and broke a Canadian national record, placing second in 3M synchronized diving at 2016 Junior Nationals. At 2016 Alberta Provincials, she earned a first place finish in open platform, finished second in 3M and third in platform. She also earned three top-three finishes at the 2014 Speedo Canadian Junior Nationals in Victoria, B.C. and was one of the youngest girls on the team at the 2013 Canada Summer Games.

Bradshaw on McCool: "I'm very proud and excited to announce Ashley McCool will join our Sun Devil family. As shown in her past performances, she will be one of our most versatile divers. Ashley is very good in all three diving disciplines – the 1m and 3m springboard as well as the platform event. Ashley is the No. 2 ranked female diver out of Canada."
YOUSSEF SELIM (Cairo, Egypt/St. Fatima School | Diving)
In 2015, Ezzat ranked in the top-25 in the 3 mtr springboard at the Fina Diving Grand Prix events in both Gatineau, Quebec, Canada and San Juan, Puerto Rico. At the 2014 National Diving Championship, Ezzat earned two gold medals, two silver medals, and a bronze medal and the same year at the Egypt Cup Championship, he won two gold medals and a silver, both at Heliopolis Sporting Club in Cairo. Since 2004, at the National Diving Championships, he has earned 19 gold medals, five silver medals, and six bronze medals.

Bradshaw on Selim: "I'm very pleased to announce the signing of Egyptian Olympian Youssef Ezzat. Youssef will be a tremendous addition to our team for this upcoming season. He is a gifted athlete who is very good in all three diving disciplines. He brings not only depth to our team but he'll be a consistent contender in every competition."
SARAH BATHE (Saint Charles, Mo./Saint Charles High School | Diving)
Bathe is an All-American both for AAU as well as at Saint Charles High School in Saint Charles, Mo. and is consistently one of the top performers in her region. She was also named US Army Diver of the Month.
Bathe was also named a Saint Louis High School Sports Scholar-Athlete in May 2017.

Bradshaw on Bathe: "I'm excited to announce the signing of Sarah Bathe to our Sun Devil family. An outstanding student and diver, Sarah has been a mainstay on her St. Charles swim and dive team. She's a high school and AAU All-American and has consistently been one of the top performers in her region. Sarah has also been named a US Army Diver of the Month. Sarah will add an increased level of quality depth to our diving events for the next four years."
