Tinkle claims first weekly award of 2016-17 Pac-12 men's hoops season

Pac-12 Men's Basketball Player of the Week (11/14/16) - Tres Tinkle, So., F, OREGON STATE

Tres Tinkle, who is on the watch list for the Naismith Hall of Fame Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year, had two double-doubles to lead the Beavers to a 2-0 start to the season.

The 6-8 forward from Missoula, Mont., averaged 23.0 points and 13.5 rebounds and also totaled five assists, four steals and two blocked shots in the two games.

Posted 20 points and a career-high 15 rebounds in the season opener against Prairie View A&M. He followed that with a career-high 26 points and 12 rebounds in a win over UTSA.

 First Oregon State player to earn the league's weekly honor since Gary Payton II on Jan. 26, 2015.
