And another one – a week after the men’s soccer team won its second straight national title, Stanford women’s volleyball won the NCAA Championship by defeating Texas in four sets in the finals. It is the seventh natty for the women’s volleyball squad – tied for most all-time with Penn State. Congrats to John Dunning, Inky Ajanaku and Co. In other news, Christian McCaffrey won’t play in the Sun Bowl as he begins prep for the NFL Draft.

Washington State

The Minnesota football team ended its boycott and will play in the Holiday Bowl against Washington State after the team met with school administrators regarding the suspension of 10 players in connection with a sexual assault allegation.

Washington

Washington women’s basketball won its 800th game in program history by walloping Savannah State 87-36 Sunday afternoon in the 206 behind 23 points from Kelsey Plum.

Oregon

The Ducks beat UNLV for their eight win in a row Saturday night in Portland. Dillon Brooks scored 20 points in his firsrt start of the season.

USC

Over the weekend, former Washington and USC head coach Steve Sarkisian was named Alabama’s offensive coordinator.

Arizona

Michael Lev reports that Arizona will hire Scott Boone as its linebackers coach. Boone was formerly the defensive coordinator at Nevada.

Utah

Utah men’s basketball feels like a complete team now that Sedrick Barefield and David Collette are eligible to play, writes Kyle Goon. The two combined for 29 points in the Utes’ blowout victory over Prairie View A&M Saturday night.

UCLA

Just when you think his stat lines can’t get any more ridiculous, Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook went for 26 points and 22 assists against Phoenix Saturday night. And oh yeah, he also recorded 11 rebounds for the 50th triple-double of his career.

Colorado

Pat Rooney previews the Colorado-Air Force men’s basketball game that will go down Monday night. The Buffs are coming off an unimpressive win against Fort Hays State, a D2 school.

Oregon State

Man it has been a rough start to the season for Oregon State men’s hoops, as the Beavers lost 53-45 to Portland at the Moda Center in Portland Sunday night. The Beavs are now just 3-9 on the season.

Arizona State

Arizona State men’s basketball lost to New Mexico State 81-70 Saturday night, and Jeff Metcalfe has the game recap right here for The Arizona Republic.

California
