Roundup: Cal's Chad Hansen, Utah's Garett Bolles off to NFL Draft

Mike Lefkow of the Bay Area News Group lets us know that Cal wide receiver Chad Hansen has declared for the NFL Draft. The Golden Bears’ top receiver in 2016 made the announcement in a statement Wednesday.

Utah

Utah offensive tackle Garett Bolles declared for the 2017 NFL Draft, he announced on Twitter Wednesday night. Kyle Goon has the details in the link.

Washington State

How ‘bout dem Cougs?! Washington State men’s basketball defeated Oregon State 75-62 Wednesday night in Spokane to get off to a 2-0 start in Pac-12 play for the first time since 2007-08 (also the last time the Cougs made the NCAA Tournament). Tyler Dorsey nailed eight 3-pointers to lead No. 15 Oregon men’s basketball to a comfortable 83-61 win at Washington despite 22 points from potential No. 1 pick Markelle Fultz (The Oregonian/OregonLive game recap).

Stanford

Tiger Woods is committing to play in three PGA Tour events over the next three months (Yahoo Sports) – the Farmers Insurance Open (Jan. 26-29), the Genesis Open (Feb. 16-19) and Honda Classic (the weekend after the Genesis). Additionally, he said he’d play in the European Tour’s event in Dubai the week after the Farmers Insurance Open.
