Oregon

Oregon men’s basketball kicks off its second-weekend action Thursday against Michigan (4 p.m. PT, CBS), and Jeff Eisenberg writes about Dillon Brooks’ competitive fire and how it has helped Oregon reach the Sweet 16.

Arizona

Meanwhile, Bruce Pascoe gives us the Arizona-Xavier Sweet 16 scouting report (7:09 p.m. PT, TBS). The Wildcats beat the Musketeers 68-60 in a 2015 Sweet 16 battle in the only other meeting between the two teams.

UCLA

J.Z. Mazlish of SB Nation breaks down the Lonzo Ball-De’Aaron Fox matchup in the UCLA-Kentucky game that is sure to attract tons of NBA scouts. Also, former Bruin Brandon Crawford delivered a clucth two-run single in last night's World Baseball Classic final against Puerto Rico en route to 8-0 win and the United States' first WBC title.

Washington

College basketball recruiting guru Eric Bossi reports that Washington men’s basketball signee Michael Porter Jr. will ask for his release from his national letter of intent he signed with Washington. However, he also said it doesn’t mean for sure that he will play elsewhere next season.

Stanford

Tom FitzGerald details the travel troubles for Stanford women’s basketball as it gets ready for a Sweet 16 game against Texas Friday in Lexington, Ky. The team’s charter flight that was supposed to take them back to Stanford after the win Monday night over Kansas State didn’t make it to Manhattan, Kansas, so the team instead flew straight to Lexington Tuesday afternoon.

Oregon State

Listen to John Canzano’s interview with Sydney Wiese in his latest podcast linked here. Y’all ain’t ready for The Bald Faced Truth.

Colorado

Hey now – Colorado lacrosse is ranked No. 4 by two national polls and No. 6 by the IWLCA Coaches’ poll. This is only the fourth year of the program, but the Buffs are off to a rockin’ 9-0 start (BuffZone.com).

USC

Joey Kaufman of the Los Angeles Daily News recaps USC football’s pro day. One of the biggest concerns was offensive lineman Zach Banner’s weight, which is at a crisp 353 pounds as of Wednesday (same as it was at the NFL Scouting Combine, and that’s a good thing).

Utah

Read the #GoonerGamer from Utah baseball’s 9-7 loss to Utah Valley Wednesday night. The Utes dropped to 9-9 on the season.

California

The Cal Alumni Association did a Q&A with Kate Scott, Cal grad and Pac-12 Networks play-by-play broadcaster.

Washington State

Bit of a follow-up/re-hashing of Wednesday’s link from Chantel Jennings and this time picked up by CBS Sports with Mike Leach talking about how bad of a dancer he is, but he’d like you to know that he was a helluva dodgeball player.

Arizona State

At spring practice on Wednesday, Arizona State football coach Todd Graham said that quarterback Manny Wilkins has “raised his game.” Jeff Metcalfe has more from ASU spring practice.
