EUGENE, Ore. – No. 22 Washington scored eight runs in the first three innings and Oregon never recovered in a 12-3 Pac-12 Conference loss on Sunday afternoon at PK Park.

How it Happened: Willie MacIver hit a grand slam off Oregon starter Zack Noll (1-1) in the first inning to give the Huskies a 4-0 lead. UW loaded the bases with a pair of walks and a hit to set the table for MacIver's blast.

Washington (14-9, 4-2) added to the lead in the third inning, scoring four more runs to chase Noll and stretch the lead to 8-0. MacIver drove in the first run of the inning with a run-scoring single for his fifth RBI of the day.

Gabe Matthews continued his recent hot streak with his fourth RBI double of the weekend in the sixth inning to cut the Washington lead to 9-1.

The Ducks pushed two more runs across in the seventh inning on a Kenyon Yovan RBI groundout and a Ryne Nelson bases loaded walk to make it 9-3.

The Huskies added three runs in the ninth inning with a two-run double and an RBI single to take a 12-3 lead.

Box Score Notes: Spencer Steer finished the day 2-for-3 with a run scored and reached base in eight of his 12 plate appearances this weekend … Matthews went 1-for-4 and finished the weekend with four doubles, driving in five of the Ducks' eight runs … Jake Bennett extended his hitting streak to seven games … Nelson picked up his first career RBI with his bases loaded walk in the seventh inning … Cooper Stiles struck out five in two innings of relief … Parker Kelly struck out three batters in 1.2 innings out of the bullpen.

On Deck: Oregon (15-6, 4-2) will play at Portland on Tuesday at 6 p.m. before hitting the road for a conference series against Utah starting Thursday at 6 p.m. live on Pac-12 Network.
