Football Season Opener Moved to Sunday

March 29, 2017 | Football

LOS ANGELES – UCLA and Texas A&M have agreed to move the 2017 season opener to Sunday, Sept. 3. The contest will kick off at 4:30 p.m. from the Rose Bowl and will be televised on Fox.

The two teams opened the 2016 season in an overtime thriller in College Station, Texas. The opener will be the sixth meeting against the Aggies as Texas A&M holds a 3-2 advantage in the series. The last time the two teams met in the Los Angeles area was in 1955 when the Bruins blanked the Aggies, 21-0, in the Coliseum.

UCLA is slated to play three non-conference games and nine conference contests, including six home games at the Rose Bowl.
