2017 NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships: UCLA places fourth, Utah fifth

The Bruins placed fourth behind Oklahoma, the favorite going into the Super Six, LSU and Florida with a 197.2625 score. Christine Peng Peng Lee stunned on beam, scoring her first ever perfect 10 on the apparatus. She dedicated the performance to her teammates:

Kyla Ross, who was named the balance beam champion and bars co-champion, earned a 9.95 on bars. Madison Kocian earned a 9.9125 on floor and a pair of 9.8125's on vault and beam. She went big on bars, of course, scoring 9.9375.

Utah

The Utes finished in fifth place at the NCAA Gymnastics Championships in St. Louis, but put on quite a show. MyKayla Skinner was named the NCAA floor exercise champion, and posted a 9.925 on the apparatus in the Super Six, adding and a pair of 9.987's on vault and beam. Baely Rowe paced the team with a 9.9 on bars and MaKenna Merrell tallied a 9.875 on bars.
