Cougars Wrap Up Round 2 in Iowa

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa: The WSU men's golf team sits in 14th place after shooting a 301(+15) in the second round of the Golfweek Conference Challenge on Monday. The team trails the three 11th place finishers by one stroke (300, +14).
 
Junior Brian Mogg tallied a 73(+1) for the day, leaving him tied for 21st with ULM's Max Catherine. Mogg has an even score of 144 over the two rounds.
 
Senior Derek Bayley follows shortly behind Mogg, tied for 38th with a 76(+4).
 
Junior Grant Cole and sophomore Daniel Kolar are each tied with two others for 49th place. In the second round, Kolar shot a 75 and Cole marked a 77, each with a score of 150(+6) over the two rounds.
 
Libscomb's Dawson Armstrong leads the pack in first place with a two round score of 136(-8). North Carolina State maintained their lead as a team after shooting a 286(-2) in round two, for a total score of 560(-16).
 
Round 3 will begin with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start Tuesday, September 19th.
