ABOUT THE MATCHUPS
With Pac-12 play beginning, the Cougs are set to face the nation's best offense as #2 Stanford comes to Lower Soccer Field Thursday night...The Cardinal are averaging 4.88 goals per game and have outscored their opponents 39-4 on the year while going 7-1-0...The lone loss for Stanford came at then #2 Florida, 3-2, in the third game of the year...While the Cardinal have controlled the series, each of the last six games have been decided by one goal with the Cougs falling at home in 2OT, 2-1, in 2015 last time in Pullman and the last win coming in 2013 at home, 1-0.

Maddy Haro saved the night with a pair of equalizers including one with :32 seconds to play in regulation while sophomore
Morgan Weaver netted the game winning :30 seconds into the second OT...Sunday, the Cougs produced a 0-0 draw at Montana despite a 15-10 shot and 6-2 shot on goal advantage.

Stanford wrapped up nonconference play on Sunday with a 2-1 road win over Santa Clara...Stanford has scored multiple goals in every game this season, leading the nation in several offensive categories. Stanford's three-game stretch from Sept. 3-10 yielded 22 goals, a program record...Stanford leads the nation in goals per game (4.88), total goals (39), assists per game (4.13), points per game (13.88), total points (111), shots per game (25.38) and shots on goal per game (12.25)...Freshman Catarina Macario ranks fourth in the nation in goals (8), fifth in points (20) and fourth in points per game (2.50).
