Utah at Arizona Postgame Notes

Utah raises its record to 3-4 in Pac-12 openers since joining the league, and have won three-straight Pac-12 openers.
 
Utah scored 10 points off turnovers (interception return, field goal).
 
The Utah defense had three interceptions in the game to bring their season total to nine. The Utes also had three picks against BYU. Utah forced five total turnovers, which included two fumble recoveries, to bring its season total to 14 (9 INT, 5 FR). 
 
Matt Gay went 3-for-3 in field goals (41, 26 and 37 yards). He has made 14 consecutive field goals (14-of-14), which is the third-longest streak of makes in Utah history. He scored 12 points to bring his season total to 56 points.
 
Tyler Huntley went 8-of-9 passing for 98 yards before leaving the game partway through the second quarter with an injury.
 
Troy Williams, in his first significant action of the season, went 9-of-18 passing for 131 yards (0 TD, 0 INT) and his 15 yards rushing included a one-yard rushing touchdown.
 
Samson Nacua had his first career touchdown reception in the first quarter on an eight-yard catch. Nacua had four catches for 32 yards.
 
Darren Carrington led Utah with four catches for 76 receiving yards.
 
Zack Moss led Utah in rushing with 73 yards on 14 carries.
 
Devonate Henry-Cole had a career-high 43 yards rushing (11 carries).
 
Sunia Tauteoli and Corrion Ballard led the defense with six tackles each.
 
Lowell Lotulelei blocked a field goal attempt in the fourth quarter.
 
Casey Hughes forced two fumbles in the game, in the second and fourth quarters. They were the second and third recovered fumbles of his career (first of the season). The last Ute to force two fumbles in a game was Nate Orchard vs. Stanford in 2013. 
 
Javelin Guidry scored his first career touchdown on his first career interception in the fourth quarter (14-yard return).
 
Chase Hansen made his first interception of the season in the third quarter (fourth career).
 
Corrion Ballard made his first career interception in the fourth quarter.
 
Boobie Hobbs recovered a fumble in the second quarter, his first career recovered fumble. Hobbs also had a 48-yard punt return.
 
Chris Hart recovered a fumble in the fourth quarter, the first of his career.
 
Jaylon Johnson made his first career start at defensive back.
