USC's Suh and Colorado's Hodgkins receive Golfer of the Month honors
Kirsty Hodgkins of Colorado has been named the Pac-12 Women’s Golfer of the Month for September, the Pac-12 announced today.
The Brisbane, Queensland, Australia native won her first career tournament, putting together a dominating performance to win medalist honors at the Coeur D’Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational hosted by Gonzaga with a final scorecard of 10-under 203 (68-65-70). Hodgkins became the ninth individual and 13th overall medalist in program history and helped the Buffaloes secure its first tournament win in two years. Hodgkins collected 15 birdies and 34 pars throughout the tournament.
At the Coeur D’Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational, the Buffaloes broke the school record for the lowest 54-hole score shooting 18-under 834 (282-268-284).
Earlier in the month, Hodgkins finished tied for 10th with a 1-under 215 (73-71-71) at the Branch Law/Dick McGuire Invitational (Sept. 11-12) to help the Buffs to a third-place team finish.
