Justin Wright will represent Arizona as the Pac-12 takes on the USA National Team. The event is on Saturday, October 21 and Sunday, October 22 at Uytengsu Aquatics Center at USC.
On Saturday, October 21, the meet will start at 6:00p.m. PST and the event will begin at 11:00a.m. PST on Sunday, October 22. Both days the meet will air nationally on Pac-12 Networks as well as Pac-12 Arizona, and live streaming will be available on the Pac-12 Now app and at Pac-12.com.
Sophomore Cox, in the opening meet of the season at Washington State, placed first three times. She swam a 9:58.52 in the 1,000 free, 4:52.53 in the 500 free, and 4:23.06 in the 400 IM.
Junior Konopka finished second twice in the opener last weekend. In the 100 back she swam a 55.20, and in the 50 free a 23.57. She also was part of the winning 400 free relay (3:25.88) and the second-place 200 medley relay (1:43.41) teams.
Junior Dobbs had the fastest team time in the 50 free last season. He won five meets in the 100 butterfly and two in the 50 free, as well. Dobbs was also part of the NCAA A cut 200 free relay, 200 medley relay, and 400 medley relay.
Senior Thorne had the fastest 400 IM (3:42.59) and 200 IM (1:44.57) times on the team last season. He was part of the relays which qualified for NCAA A cuts, 800 free at the Pac-12 Championships and 400 medley at the NCAA Championships.
Senior Wright was an All-American and set the school record in the 200 fly (1:40.94) last season. He won the 200 fly four times during the 2016-17 season, and was named Arizona Athletics Junior Male Athlete of the Year.
