Roundup: Bryce Love returning to The Farm for senior season

Time to pop some bubbly, Cardinal fans, because Stanford running back Bryce Love is returning for his senior year, Tom FitzGerald reports. This makes the Cardinal a preseason top 15 at least in FitzGerald’s mind. Here's the news in his own words:

Arizona

Greg Hansen of the Arizona Daily Star is of the opinion that Arizona hiring Kevin Sumlin as its football coach is a “step in the right direction for racial equality.” There are now three black head coaches in the Pac-12, with Sumlin joining David Shaw and Herm Edwards in the Conference of Champions.

UCLA

Former Washington quarterback KJ Carta-Samuels is transferring to UCLA and will be able to play right away as a grad transfer, Barton Simmons of CBS Sports reports.

Washington

Great news for U-Dub fans – Washington running back Myles Gaskin is returning for his senior season, Adam Jude Reports.

USC

USC defensive lineman Rasheem Green declared for the NFL Draft, he announced on Twitter Saturday (Associated Press).

Colorado

Tragic news out of Boulder, where Colorado lacrosse attacker Julia Sarcona died in a car accident Saturday after crashing into a tree on a highway. The Northport, New York native was 21 years old.

Oregon

Andrew Greif reports that Oregon and Mark Helfrich reached a settlement of approximately $8 million in May. Helfrich, the head football coach of the Ducks from 2013-16, was recently hired as the offensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears.

Oregon State
